Since its founding in 1973, the Pumpkin Run has always been about more than just cars. What began as a gathering of passionate gearheads has grown into a force for good—raising and donating over $1.5 million to local and national charities.
In 2024 alone, the event raised $60,000 for Shriner’s Hospital for Children in Dayton, a facility that continues to provide life-changing care to kids and families who need it most.
Each year, through the Awards & Appreciation Banquet, the Pumpkin Run honors the volunteers who make the event possible—and uses the platform to give back. Over the years, these donations have gone to support a wide range of impactful causes, including:

We’re proud to announce the return of Toys for Tots. This beloved holiday program, supported by the U.S. Marine Corps, helps ensure that children in need receive gifts during the Christmas season. Look for donation barrels just inside the gates and help us spread joy beyond the fairgrounds.
